Drill head :
The drill head is adjustable through 360$B!q(BX around the column and can be elevated and
lowered.
S40 The drill head
is fixed on top of the column.

Gearbox :
Helical gears
combined with steel gears against reinforced fibre gears in the main gear box
ensure higher operation efficiency, a more powerful drive mechanism and smooth
operations. The noise level and maintenance of the gear box are reduced to a
minimum.

Power feed :
Option on models S25M, S28M, S35M,
S40M
The feed gear box
is provided with an automatic overload protection device, which starts when the
drill pressure is too high. When the set depth is reached, the spindle
automatically returns to start. The feed can also be interrupted manually.

Table :
The rigid, turable
table is constructed of high quality cast iron. On S-40 (M) the table is fixed.
All tables are provided complete with T-slots and coolant channel and are
mounted on a rigid arm, which rotates 360$B!q(BXaround the column, plus an easily accessible crank for elevating
and lowering the table to a suitable working height.

Drill spindle :
The drill spindle
is mounted in ball and roller bearings and the lower spindle roller bearing is
situated as close to the lower part of the spindle as possible ensuring great
precision and stability. It is adjusted by the journals in the bearing, which
guarantees very small tolerances. The spindle is counterbalanced by a tension
spring and the spindle return can be adjusted to the weight of the tool.

Column :
The column is made
if steel, ensuring machine rigidity and precision with a minimum of deviation
from a stipulated angle between drill and table.

Base plate :
S25 has a plane
base plate. Other models are equipped with a machined base plate.

S35ME / S40ME :
Start/stop of the
automatic feed is controlled by buttons. The stop can also be set by the stop
shoulder on the depth gauge scale and the automatic feed stops, when reaching
the set drill depth. Hand and automatic reversing for tapping are standard.
